Thank God! The New York Mets are AWESOME this year!
We may not have the sexiest names on our pitching staff, nor do we have Juan Soto hitting homers every five seconds, but i'll tell you what we do have: METS MAGIC!
Pete Alonso is raking like crazy, Francisco Lindor is off to a relatively hot start with him hitting his FIRST walk off homer as a New York Met against the Cardinals in the second game of the series, and Juan Soto, even though he is slumping (for his standards) is still a valuable piece when it comes to our offense. He's not too bad at right field either.
Of course, there are also other very valuable members of the team, like Jesse Winker who came in clutch in the second game of the Toronto series, Tyrone Taylor with his superb performances in center field, and Brandon Nimmo with his superb performances in left field. I am not a baseball analyst and you may have a differing opinion, but I will back this yap session up with three words: YOU GOTTA BELIEVE!

The Mets being in first place feels soooo good. Seeing the Braves and Nationals with a losing record feels even BETTER! I just pray that we keep this up, and that we smack the Phillies in the upcoming series.
